Favourite Tools & Pantry Staples I Use
Having the right tools makes cooking so much easier (and more fun!). For this recipe, I recommend:

How To Make Healthy Monkey Munch Cups
1. Prepare the crispy base
- Add the rice crispies, pumpkin seeds and nut butter to a mixing bowl.
- Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 10–20 seconds, then pour it into the bowl.
- Mix everything together until the rice crispies and seeds are evenly coated.
2. Create the chocolate topping
- Line a muffin tray with silicone muffin cases or paper liners.
- Divide the mixture between the cases and gently press down to create the base.
- Melt your chocolate until smooth. You can do this by placing the chocolate in a heatproof bag, covering it with hot water, then snipping off one corner once melted.
- Drizzle or pipe a thin layer of chocolate over each cup.
3. Add banana and freeze
- Top each cup with a slice of banana.
- Place in the freezer for around 10 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.
- Enjoy straight from the freezer or allow them to soften slightly before eating.
- Together, these ingredients make a snack that feels indulgent but fuels you from the inside out — the perfect balance of wholesome and satisfying.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate?
Yes, you can use either milk or dark chocolate depending on your preference. Dark chocolate will give these monkey munch cups a richer flavour, while milk chocolate creates a sweeter, more kid-friendly treat.
Can I make these monkey munch cups without nut butter?
Yes. If you need a nut-free option, you can swap the nut butter for sunflower seed butter or another seed-based alternative. Always check your ingredients if making these for allergies.
How should I store no-bake monkey munch cups?
These cups are best stored in an airtight container in the freezer. They will keep for up to 3 months and make an easy grab-and-go snack whenever you need something sweet.
Can I use a different cereal instead of rice crispies?
Yes, you can experiment with different cereals. However, rice crispies give these cups their light, crunchy texture. Look for a similar puffed cereal if you want to swap them.
