Summer always makes me crave fresh fruit, and this is one of my favourite recipes to have in the fridge. It’s colourful, refreshing and so easy to throw together, making it perfect for family BBQs, picnics, healthy snacks or a little meal prep for the week ahead.
The honey and lime dressing brings everything together beautifully without overpowering the fresh fruit, while the sunflower seeds add a lovely little crunch that makes it feel just that bit more satisfying.

Ingredients
Sunflower Seeds – Add a satisfying crunch and a boost of healthy fats.
Plums – Sweet, juicy and full of summer flavour.
Strawberries – Fresh and naturally sweet, adding vibrant colour.
Blueberries – Bursting with antioxidants and a delicious pop of sweetness.
Pomegranate Seeds – Add a juicy crunch and beautiful ruby colour.
Mango – Soft, tropical and naturally creamy.
Fresh Lime Juice – Brightens the fruit and balances the sweetness.
Honey – A touch of natural sweetness to bring the dressing together.
How to Make Honey Lime Summer Fruit Salad
- Wash and prepare all of the fruit before chopping the plums, strawberries and mango into bite-sized pieces.
- Add all of the fruit to a large mixing bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and fresh lime juice until combined.
- Pour the dressing over the fruit and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Sprinkle over the sunflower seeds and gently mix once more.
- Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving for an extra refreshing summer treat.
Storage
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The fruit will naturally release some juice as it sits, making it even more delicious spooned over Greek yogurt, porridge or chia pudding.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make fruit salad ahead of time?
Yes! Prepare it up to one day in advance and keep it refrigerated. For the best texture, add the sunflower seeds just before serving.
Can I use frozen fruit?
Fresh fruit is recommended for the best flavour and texture. Frozen fruit tends to become soft as it thaws.
Can I leave out the honey?
Absolutely. If your fruit is perfectly ripe, you may find it naturally sweet enough without any added honey.
